Training and Education of Entrepreneurs

The first entrepreneurship class was held in 1947 at Harvard's Business School, taught by Myles Mace (Katz 2003). There are over 2200 courses at over 1600 schools, with 277 endowed positions (Katz 2003).

Chrisman 2005 shows that guided preparation, defined as the kind of work provided by SBDCs, predicts success of firms. The value of this consulting wanes after 140 hours.
